Becky Lower

Ever since submitting a screenplay to the TV series, Bonanza, I have had a love affair with cowboys and the old west. My family says I was born a hundred years too late, but I've managed to find a way to immerse myself in the life and times of that era by becoming a writer of historical romance set in America during the prelude to the Civil War. It was an exciting time in the new, raw country that is America, and I love to plunk my characters--spunky heroines, dashing professional men, handsome hunky Indians--into the middle of the events that were shaping the country.

In between my historicals, I like to write contemporary romances about older heroines who get a second chance at romance. For these books, I favor small-town American settings, complete with omp-pah bands and cherry pie.

I have a degree in English and Journalism from Bowling Green State University and currently reside in Oberlin, OH with my puppy-mill rescue dog, Mary.
