Beverly Lauderdale

Born and raised in the Midwest, Beverly Lauderdale graduated with a BA degree from Simpson College (Iowa). After moving to California, she received her MA from Holy Names University. She has taught at the junior high school and college level and has led "Craft of Writing" classes for adult school students. In love with writing since she could hold a pencil, she has published hundreds of articles (Biography, Travel & Leisure, The Los Angeles Times) and short stories (Essence, Thema, Timber Creek Review). She has published three novels: The Long Wind (Libra Press), a coming of age story that is underscored by the effects of setting on character; Notes When Summer Ends (Genesis Press), a look at women's friendships; In Franklin's House (Oak Tree Press), a paranormal romance.

Lauderdale and her husband divide their time between the San Francisco East Bay area and the high desert region of northeastern California.
