I was born and raised in Arizona. Until I married a man doing a stint in the Army, I'd only traveled to California, Nevada, and New Mexico. If the Army offered nothing else, we at least got to see a good part of the world. And we found we liked moving around. Our gypsy nature continued into our civilian life. We finally settled down on the prairie in Arizona. When I'm not at my laptop, I enjoy hiking, reading, motorcycling and the company of good friends.
I am blessed with creative soul mates. My husband is an excellent photographer, my son is a singer/song writer with talent unending, his lady is a creative chef and my dog, Rusty, creates joy.
I've been writing all my life beginning with the captions on my artwork. In high school my writing took on new meaning with the psychedelic age and the writing became an art in itself with loopy scrolls and color. It wasn't until college and beyond that substance began to matter. I left my paints behind and tackled short stories and poems. Eventually, I turned to novel writing. Whether I am writing short stories or novels, the characters drive me forward, most often taking me along for the ride.
