Hello - I'm Charlotte
And it's terribly difficult typing this with a Snoops on my lap. Snoops, one of my dogs, is a teensy Jack Russell. He’s blind. He thinks I’m gorgeous! I think I’m in love.
I’ve been writing for a rather long time (ahem) and I live in the small town of Droitwich in the UK, where I strive to stop my witty son typing – THE END – halfway through my manuscripts and to keep up with the demands of my rescue dogs, Little Snoops, who can't see his nose in front of him, and Big Max, who likes to visit the neighbours...through the fence.
I write Romantic Comedy because sometimes I think there is just too much sadness in life. So, whilst I do try to portray my characters as real human beings in the all their rich eccentricity and emotional fragility, I like to think I leave the reader with a huge dollop of feel-good factor and, more importantly, a smile. A laugh or two—even better!
Rather than drone on and bore you to yawndom, I’ve posted a few readers’ reviews, because, after all, it’s the reader’s view that is testament to whether a writer has achieved his/her aim.
Reading The Madness of Celia Summers was such an enjoyable experience, I just had to say thank you. I haven't read a book in a long time that made me smile so much. Your characters are delightful
and the dialogue is brilliant. I'll certainly be looking forward to the next Charlotte Chalmers book.
Twila Hanna - Reader
A group of soon to be homeless seniors, a sexy policeman and a teenage son, who only wants the best for his mum, finds Celia Summers in an interesting predicament. This witty book with just the right touch of innuendo deals with the fragility of the human heart.
Charlotte Chalmers has woven a tapestry of interesting characters laced with the right amount of humor to keep the reader going until the end and wanting more.
Vicki Caine - Author

Well, it's by a really cool Brit chick and she'll make you laugh and wipe tears of humor away, jump in surprise and feel all warm and fuzzy inside by the time you get to the end of her story.
Wanna know more?
Well, pick it up and read it sometime, luv.
It's called THE MADNESS OF CELIA SUMMERS and it Rocks!
