Damien Kelly

Damien Kelly, the rather dishevelled figure behind christmasmacabre.com is husband to the beautiful Katrina, father to Daniel and Taylor, a psychology tutor with the Open University and an aspiring writer of genre fiction.

You can help with that last bit.

I’ve been published previously in the UK in Libbon Magazine, but that was a long time ago now and I decided it was time I did something about that. Whether you like The Christmas Gifts or hate it, do let me know and I’ll try to do better next time.

That or I’ll make little dolls in effigy of you to bury under a full moon.

I’m kind of fickle that way.

The season of giving is a season of darkness; a season of extended nights and twilight days.

And the gifts of the season aren’t always the kind you’d hope to receive.

The Christmas Gifts is a collection of twelve tales of the uncanny in a handy stocking-sized anthology, wherein an unusual Christmas ‘gift’ at the heart of each story - be it rare, unexpected, inappropriate or even unwanted - comes wrapped in a piece of that seasonal darkness.

Yes, Christmas is a good way off yet, but if you know you are going to have a hard-to-buy-for horror fan on your secret Satan...ahem, Santa list this year, then head over to christmasmacabre.com and sign up for updates, or hit Like on the Facebook page.

The Christmas Gifts is available in paperback, Kindle, ePub and PDF formats from Amazon, B&N Nook, the iBookstore and Lulu.com. Full details of how to get your copy an be found on the website, where you can sample two of the stories from the book: The Unwanted Gift and The Rare Gift.

You can also find links to download a free e-picture book called silhouettes, featuring eight micro-stories of the macabre, written and illustrated by Damien Kelly, in PDF, ePub and Mobi for Kindle.

Give the gift of the macabre this holiday.

Both books are suggested for mature readers
(Adult themes/strong language/sexual content/spitting, biting, and pulling hair).
