I write mysteries, science fiction, and romantic comedies about nice, sometimes nerdy, straight-laced men who get their socks knocked off by luminous women.

When I am not reading or writing, I play the violin, badly but with gusto, inspired by Sherlock Holmes. I also enjoy tinkering with recipes and inflicting strange food combinations on my unsuspecting family. My secret guilty pleasure is Hong Kong cop movies.
