Jackie Taylor Zortman

Jackie Taylor Zortman is a former bookstore owner in a beautiful tourist town high in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where she lives with her 42-year veteran law enforcement husband.  Both are now retired and she is a full-time award winning published writer and author, having won 7 writing awards in the last three years, including First Place for her recently released fiction novel "Footprints in the Frost".

She is also  the author of "We Are Different Now" and a contributing author to the anthology "Felons, Flames and Ambulance Rides".  All three books are published by Oak  Tree Press.

Writing since 1990, she has had numerous articles and short stories published. She has been a member of the The Public Safety Writers Association since 1994 when it was known as The Police Writers Club.

She has  also written poetry, genealogy articles and books that she donated to her birth town and other libraries as well as contributing to the anthologies "American Blue",  "The Centennial Book of the NSDU 1861-1865", "Echoes From the Silence" and "Dusting Off Dreams".

After the death of her oldest grandchild at age 21, she decided to write a book called "We Are Different Now" about the loss of this young man with the angelic face and who was born possessing an old soul.  He was the light of her life and her  journey with death on the mountain needed some sort of a silver lining to justify such tremendous  loss.  To her amazement, the book quickly crossed demographics and is selling to people of all ages and in all walks of life.  She is delighted that Pete will live on inside the covers of her  book.

Her latest release "Footprints in the Frost" introduces handsome homicie detective Max Richards and his life on and off the job.  When he is hand-picked to work a serial rapist case, complications emerge with his girlfriend, Sami Murphy.  They decide to escape the city and relax in his remote and beautiful Colorado cabin and try to untangle the knots in their relationship.

Her books are availabe in both trade paperback and Kindle at www.amazon.com and www.shopOTPbooks.com. Both books are also available as trade paperbacks from www.barnesandnoble.com.
