Jo Ann J. Bender

I am happiest when writing.  However, I am also an author who sells books so I spend most of my time now promoting Lebensborn, a story of a French girl who gets caught in the trap of the SS to create their Master Race and is sent to a Lebensborn home in Germany.  Rarely do I have any time to work on A Cowboy and His Loves.  (I may just find a cabin in the words and run away to finish it.)

My husband, Bud, a consulting engineer, and I host the Lazy Bee B&B, a beautiful spot in the forest in the mountains of Eastern Washington near the Canadian British Columbia Border.

I graduated from the University of Iowa's School of Journalism and have been a reporter/editor and freelance writer for newspapers and magazines.  As a public relations consultant, I have worked for a college, a rural library system and for two chapters of the American Red Cross.  (For a writing career, the Red Cross has every venue the field offers.  I'd wholeheartedly recommend it.  The B&B business, however, is a tough one and requires a disciplined, creative person who never tires.

My book presentations have been exciting.  They are a lot of fun and I meet the most interesting people.  Maybe someday, I'll be able to say 'hello' to you, too.
