After graduating from the University of Illinois College of Law, Julie James clerked for the United States Court of Appeals in Jacksonville, Florida. She then practiced law with one of the nation's largest law firms for several years until she began writing screenplays. Julie James now writes full time and lives in Chicago with her husband and son. James' first novel, Just the Sexiest Man Alive, debuted in October 2008. Her second novel, Practice Makes Perfect, was published on March 3, 2009. James's newest novel, Something About You, will be released on March 2, 2010.
