Karen P. Foster

I became fascinated with Norse Mythology, the Viking Age, and Scandinavia as an undergrad at UCLA and my interest in the region and its physical and cultural history continues to grow.

I published my first novel, The Son of Nine Sisters, in 2012 and started writing a series of young reader novels with my daughter. I also began two more novels, The Last Wedding and the sequel to The Son of Nine Sisters.

I've won awards for and/or been published in the areas of poetry, short stories, novels, and journalistic articles. I have written numerous environmental articles and my writing has helped to raise millions for environmental and social causes.

Presently, I am a freelance editor and writer and also write a weekly blog that you can check out: The Wonder of Runes.

I have two degrees in Geography - a BA from UCLA and an MSc. from Concordia University in Montreal.
