Katherine A Clark

I was born in Tuscaloosa after my mother went into labor with me at an Alabama Homecoming game, when Joe Namath was the quarterback.   I grew up in Birmingham and attended The Altamont School.  From there I went to Harvard, where I majored in English and graduated Magna cum Laude with Highest Honors.  I went to Emory as a Woodruff Fellow and earned a Ph.D. in American literature with a dissertation on William Faulkner.  For 15 years, I was a college professor, mainly in New Orleans.  Now I am a full time writer and live on the Gulf Coast.
