Kimberly K Ivey

Kimberly Ivey began her career as a freelance writer more than twenty-five years ago. Since then, hundreds of her non-fiction articles, poetry, short stories, true life essays and captioned news photographs have appeared in newspapers, magazines, trade newsletters and print publications throughout the U.S. and Canada. She is the author of one children's book, reprinted in the 2006 anthology, WRITINGS: A LITERATURE OF OUR TIME, as well as several novellas and short stories in both print and digital media. Her latest novella, GRAY WOLF'S BRIDE, appears in the BRIDES OF THE WEST romance anthology. Upcoming releases for 2008 incluce "That's a Croc," in NO LAW AGAINST LOVE 2 anthology, and "Special of the Day," in SECOND TIME AROUND anthology. Her short romance, "The Darkness and the Dreams," in BLUE MOON MAGIC anthology placed 5th for best romance short story in the national Preditors and Editors Readers 2006 Poll. 

A past president of an RWA chapter, Kimberly has held several board positions within that organization. She has served on literacy committees and presented writing workshops at conferences and to writing groups. She has been a creative writing instructor for seven years and is an adjunct for a southeast Texas college.

A native Texan, she resides in the Houston area with her husband of 31 years and several spoiled and demanding pets. She is a Reiki Master/Teacher of traditional Usui Reiki.
