Lawrence J Grodecki

Born in Winnipeg and raised on the prairies, I once had the privilege of teaching Clark Kent how to bunt. We both failed, so I encouraged him to go into journalism while I went on to university - four of them across Canada, eventually getting a Master's degree from McGill. After that I began my career at Reader's Digest and ended up writing about tulips and a lot more in gardening catalogues.

In my debut novel, Dawn at Last, readers delight in the storytelling, the tragedies and triumphs, and the timeless aspects of love. Like a Mayan treasure, the experience is almost hypnotic in its many layers, and definitely a memorable one.

I seem to make the abstract come to life in an often amusing, almost childish way. There's nothing more abstract than love, yet it's so very real, full of mystery and surprises, both fleeting and enduring.

Smart, sexy, mysterious and refreshing. That's how others see my writing. It tends cross many genres. It's much like my art, which is described as a unique breakthrough in style.
