Lee Duran

I've led a busy and mostly happy life.  I've worked as a waitress, a nurse's aide, a typesetter, assistant to a detective.  I also joined the Navy, married a Marine, became a newspaper reporter and then an editor.  I've lived all over the country, from the California desert to the New Jersy seashore, from South Dakota to Texas.

I sold my first book to Harlequin in 1988, writing as Ruth Jean Dale.  By 2000 I'd sold 30-some books and a few novellas to Harlequin, plus novellas to St. Martins.  In 2000 this all came to a crashing halt with a family health crisis.  For the following eight years, I did little writing although I did teach for a few years for Writers Digest. My caregiving days ended with my husband's death on Valentine's Day, if you can believe it, in 2008.

Now I'm writing again, under my own name.  THE WHO'S WHO CAPER is my first indypubbed book and I loved writing it and hope you love it, too--and get a lot of laughs besides.

My motto:  Laugh.  You'll feel better.
