Linda Rettstatt is an award-winning author of women's fiction and contemporary romance. Her first job, as a clerk for her hometown newspaper in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, also presented the opportunity to write theater reviews and human interest stories. Following a passion for writing and the arts, Linda worked for several years as a composer and songwriter, semi-professional musician, and nature photographer. She holds a Master's Degree in Social Work and has worked in both the clinical and general social work arenas. She currently resides in Southaven, Mississippi.
The desire that Linda held from her teen years to write fiction never died. She seriously pursued a career as a novelist in 2002 and has not stopped writing since. Of her writing, Linda says, "I write for women— stories of strength, love, humor and hope. Writing is a passion I once possessed that now possesses me."
Linda's short stories have garnered recognition and awards from Writer's Digest and Pennwriters, Inc. Her writing has been compared to that of Nicholas Sparks and Elizabeth Berg. Linda's novel, Love, Sam won the 2012 EPIC eBook Award for Mainstream Fiction. Linda is published with Champagne Books, Class Act Books, and Wings ePress.
