The Romance Studio reviews, Root Of All Evil: 'Tension like a live wire hums in the background of Root of All Evil. With plenty of twists and turns, Mary Eason captures the reader’s attention and doesn’t let go until the very end. I empathized with both characters as each had old wounds that were ripped open once again. Anna pain over her losses and the secrets kept from her, while John was tormented by the secrets he and Aaron kept from everyone. He has also suffered over the loss of the woman he loves and faces losing her forever if he isn’t careful. The sexual tension sizzles when Anna and John are together, each drawn to the other like they are. Mary Eason has made a fan of this reader with her well plotted story, peppered with interesting characters and vivid sense of place. ' Overall rating: --Reviewer: ScarletTisa Reviews are in... Forbidden Passion Overall rating: Ms Mary Eason has done a good job of developing this plot into a beautiful, but tumultuous love story. Her characters are so well written that it felt as if I knew them. The secrets each kept from the other, as well as Sophie’s overbearing cousin, added to the dilemmas they constantly faced. The sexual encounters were explicit but tasteful. They were beautifully written. Eason gave Erik a sensitivity not usually seen in a male main character. His thoughtfulness and obvious love for Sophie was so endearing. There were many roadblocks and bumps along the way with this storyline. It was surprising how it ended—not that they lived happily ever after, but the way they were finally able to get there. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a sweet story with beautiful sex and conflicts galore. Good job, Ms. Eason. --Brenda Talley - TRS Reviewer
"Again Mary Eason outshines herself in this suspenseful book that rocks all the way to the end. Anna is a woman who has many secrets inside her and dreams that spook her. Dreams that are somehow telling a story themselves making you wonder what is happening in this book. Mary has a clever and evil mind that makes you wonder exactly who the killer is. The thing about this book is that the killer does make you wonder what he is going to do and how it involves these two lovebirds. Like I said this book is one filled with betrayal, suspense, romance and an evilness that will make you want more from Mary Eason. Great job." Melinda - NOR "Root of All Evil is a spine tingling thriller that will leave the reader on the edge of their seat. The emotions run rampant throughout the story switching back and forth through Anna and John." -- Emily - Single Titles Reviews
" Five Hearts! Okay - Mary Eason is now one of my highly recommended authors. Every storyline she creates has a way of pulling you into the story and you don’t want it to end." -- Melinda NOR Reviews

| Check out my Fresh FIction Page for all my latest releases and contest news! Mary Eason is a mulit-published author in a wide variety of romance genres from chick lit to romantic suspense. Mary's first romantic suspense was published through Cerridwen Press. Mary grew up in a small Texas town famous for, well, not much of anything really. Being the baby of the family and quite a bit younger than her brothers and sister, Mary had plenty of time to entertain herself. Making up stories seems to come natural to her. As a pre-teen, Mary discovered the words of Victoria Holt and Phyllis Whitney and knew instinctively that was what she wanted to do with her over-active imagination. She wrote her first novel as a teen (it's tucked away somewhere never to see the light of day), but never really pursued her writing career seriously until a few years later, when she wrote her first romantic suspense and was hooked. Today Mary still lives in Texas and still writes about romance. In fact she can't think of anything else she'd rather do. Videos
