Stephen Brown

I was born in England in 1951 but have spent most of my life in Canada. My first novel, After the Polothians, was started in 1974 but wasn't finished until 1997. I'm happy to report that since then my ouput has increased. When I was young I read a lot of science fiction. Now when I read science fiction I feel guilty because I know that I should be writing it instead.

What I read depends on how I read it. If what I read is on paper, it's probably a mystery. If it's an ebook it can be anything: Don Quixote, Of Human Bondage, The Daughter of Time, I Capture the Castle. There's something about ebook readers that encourages sampling from a broader spectrum.
