AlexJouJou 40 something divorced mom of 2. Work full time in the field of education in administration. Interests in reading, video gaming, and watching crime shows. My book interests are fairly varied and I read a lot of mystery, suspense, romance, funny books, fiction, and biography. I have always read—in fact my mom used to punish me by taking away my books and sending me outside to play with the neighbor kids! My first love of reading (after the Frances books that I adored as a grade schooler) was with Harlequin books in the late 1970’s. Ah man those were the days---those couples didn’t even *kiss* until the end of the book! I eventually got a job at a bookstore (used) to try to feed my addiction. Even though it has been 30 years since that first box of Harlequin romances I still love to cuddle up to a good book and just escape the world for a while.
Becca D I can't remember a time growing up when I didn't have a book on me. Even now most of my pockets and purses are stretched out from cramming books into them. I can leave the house without my cell phone or even my keys, but never a book! When I'm not reading I hop from one handicraft to another and am now en route to quilting via knitting and cross stitch as my family and friends have all the handmade scarves and hats and embroidered linen they need.
Cheryl I am married, no kids but two dogs, a cat, and lots of fish. Love to cross stitch, watch hockey, Top Chef, Project Runway, and The Tudors. Also love to read. You won't find me without a book or three or four. I can't figure out people who say they have no time to read.
Claudia Rhyes Clauida is a wife, a mother, and a nursing student. She reads an array genres, not one to be picky, just enjoying sitting on the couch and reading. When not working full-time or in school, Claudia can be found with her nose in a book, whether that be one she enjoys or one she's reading to her daughter.

Dawn D. I'm an avid reader with wide interests. I was almost published at 11, when I accidentally submitted a really long short story to my teacher, who loved it so much she tried to pitch it for me (I thought she said 37 pages - really). I'm addicted to reading and somehow manage to squeeze in a book a day with a full-time job (sigh), 2 kids, 1 husband, and many animals.
Fran Born in the South Bronx, I grew up with people from many ethnic backgrounds. I learned to play and work with children in my school that came from other countries and different places. I was always over weight as a child and got picked on a lot by the other children in my class and even my teachers. I found it hard to do many of the sporting activities that my sister and cousins could do. I learned at an early age that kids can be mean and I promised myself that I would never retaliate or do mean things to other kids in return. When I decided to write my short stories I realized that I had a lot to say about my youth and in both of my books I tell about a ten year old girl named Bertha who learns to deal with real life issues kids face today at home and in school. As an educator I the New York City Public Schools for over 36 years, I realized just how unique and precious our children are. I was the reading and writing staff developer in my school and the dean. I loved the children and had the respect of my fellow teachers and parents. Reading books by other authors has helped me to learn more about the craft and has enhanced my writing skills. I am hoping to get my third book Bertha Fights Back published within the next few months. Bertha Fights Back will hopefully send a message to adults and children about how important it is to get along with other people and enhance and embrace our differences.
Holly I'm happily married and live with my husband in Oregon. Growing up an only child, I discovered the world of romance books was a great way for me to entertain myself. I started out a Nora Roberts and Jayne Ann Krentz fan but branched out. Now my TBR pile is massive and my TBB list is forever growing. I love sweet and hot romance alike. Witty dialogue or intense action, it's all good!
Ivy Never one to keep her opinions to herself, Ivy joined the Manic Readers team so she could impart her impartial wisdom to the world. The part of the world that wants to decide which gay erotic story to read next, anyway. Ivy is a published author of many male/male tales, so she knows what she likes. And she's more than ready to tell you all about it.
IvyD Army brat from Georgia, currently living in Indiana. I have to read daily to be fit for public consumption, everything from erotica to non-fiction history. I have 3 sons-- 20, 18 & 12. I work 2 part time jobs and also enjoy crocheting, sewing and knitting.
Jenie P. I'm happily married and love nature, photography, hiking, music, reading and writing. I hope to have more time to do all now that I work part time. I work for a Veterinarian and I mostly enjoy the puppies.

Nicole I am a lively 33 year old with a love of reading. I am happily married and enjoy spending time with my dogs, horses and family. I am a graduate of Ohio State University and took several literature classes, including one solely focused on book reviews. I work with a criminal defense attorney and have downtime to devote to one of my guilty pleasures, romance novels.
Rockin' Robin Besides being a recovering copywriter, Robin Glasser has written for a variety of magazines ranging from Readers' Digest to Penthouse Letters where she wrote a column called "The Red Hot Woman." Her poetry has been published in Upstairs at Duroc and The Riverside Poetry Workshop Review. Robin guarantees Men at Work, her book of suggestive poetry, will put twinkles in your eyes and sparkles in your pants. Ms Glasser's latest novel, My Life as a Concubine, which is based on her experiences in Paris or as she likes to call it, The City of Merde, will be released late summer '08 from Phaze.
Sabine (Bio not available)
Stacey I'm 23 and a college graduate with two degrees, one in English and one in Anthropology, and currently starting a new job as a day care teacher.
Stephanie Wilson Stephanie Wilson is a avid reader of romance. She can't imagine life without book. Other interests include traveling, spending time with friends and family, classical music, and just enjoying life in general.
Stevi B. I'm an avid reader and I've been reading since I was four. I like to read a variety of different things but my favorites are romantic suspense, paranormal, and mystery. I'm married and have one son. We live in a rural area deep in the Bible belt and even though I have lived all over the world before, I love living in a small southern town! I do a lot of volunteering and working for non-profit organizations. I also love to talk to people about books and encourage them to read.
Val I am a stay at home mom to three very dramatic teenage girls. I live in Greenwood, SC where it always seems to be perfect weather. Between being the sports mom and the seven dogs we have, I like to find time for myself by cracking open a new book. I am just learning how many genres and different authors there are out there and I am amazed. My goal, TO READ THEM ALL!
Valerie Growing up in a large military family, i learned to escape into books as a way to avoid the insanity in a house with nine children. Now, I'm a wife and mother of three very active boys (i think the insanity is hereditary). I read everything i can get my hands on, my motto is "there is no such thing as too many books!!!" Although my husband, would like to disagree. My personal favorite type of books are romance or erotica and mystery. Our household is owned by one very temperamental cat who allows us to feed and house her, with the bonus of occasional cuddling involved. I live in the Hudson Valley region of New York, probably one of the most gorgeous areas in the state, especially in the fall. While my males all like to hike, fish, hunt and camp out, i prefer shopping, relaxing and reading, it works for us.
