Michele Zurlo's By My Side is an absolute joy to read. Interesting plot, great characters, emotional tension, BDSM play and an HEA ending are all within these pages in perfect balance. I literally could not set this book down and read the 80 pages in one sitting.

I always enjoy Zurlo’s stories, and this one is no different. Sean is a Dom, who intends to put on a demonstration of various BDSM techniques for a group of like-minded couples. At the last minute his long time sub opts out and he is left with cancelling the charity event, or finding someone else to take her place.
His able assistant Marcella offers to be the sub he needs for his demonstration. He is reluctant for two reasons: he doesn’t know her reactions and limits, plus he also fears his reaction to her if they take their working relationship to another level.
As usual, Zurlo crafts excellent characters, who display just the right amount of conflict and conflicting goals in By My Side. The dialog is good, the feelings are real, and both Sean and Marcella discover sides of themselves that they didn’t know existed.
