Captain Rose Madigan pilots the airship, The Merry Widow. Her crew is made up of all women. Ever since her husband passed away, Rose has been having a hard time trying to keep the cash flow coming into the Merry Widow. If she doesn’t get some money in soon, she will have to let her crew go.

Madam Rudy is in charge of the Red House Bordello. She hires the Merry Widow to travel to an island in the South Pacific. A missing scientist by the name of Doctor Atom Loquacious or” Doctor Loco,” because he is so crazy used to live on the island. Ruby wants the crew to retrieve an artifact that used to belong to Doctor Loquacious and bring it back to her. What will the crew of the Merry Widow find on this island?

Clockworks and Corsets is book one. Steam punk is fast becoming a great new genre. What is steam punk? It is stories that take place back in time during the 1980s and early 1990s. Rose and her crew were entertaining, beautiful, strong women, who were not afraid to go after what they wanted. There is one man aboard the Merry Widow. His name is Click. He and Rose steam up the pages with their love making. Regina Riley has gained a new fan out of me. If you are really into this genre or looking to try a book out in this genre, then you should check out Clockworks and Corsets. I hope to see Rose and the crew of the Merry Widow again. Watch out as Ms. Riley is moving full steam ahead into the brand new world of steam punk.
