Hot Nights in St. Blaise, Book Five (May)
Lab tech Melanie Curtis claims Dr. Marc Mayhew’s shy smile won her vote for Mr. May, but the fact is she’s been aching to get a taste of the delicious Pathologist’s mochachino skin since the moment she set eyes on him.
Quiet and reserved, Marc was happy to take refuge in his research until she walked into his lab. He tried to ignore the attraction that sparked and sizzled each time she drew near, all too aware of the strict edicts issued by the hospital’s Human Resources department, but he couldn’t deny that he wouldn’t mind subjugating himself to his bossy little subordinate. Over and over again.
The only variable he couldn’t predict was how far Melanie was willing to go to get the results she expected. When she tests his mettle, Marc finds he’s more than willing to risk everything on a case of chemistry run amok if it means he can claim her as his. For keeps.

I do wish Mr. Mayhem was a bit longer, as this has been one of my favorite couples in this series thus far and I’d love to see how they navigate the intricacies of an interracial relationship. Great job again Ms. Wells!

Marc is Mr. May in the St. Blaise calendar of hot men and women who work at the small hospital. The calendar is a fund raiser for the facility, and it has done very well. This is number five (May) in the series and I think it may be the hottest one yet. All the stories are about the hottie of the month, and how he or she finds love after appearing nearly nude in the calendar.
Marc is the quintessential nerd, working away in his lab, checking and re-checking his data, in almost OCD-like manner. He is hot, but hesitates to act on his attraction to Melanie, a lab rat, as fraternization between bosses and workers is forbidden by management. I’m not sure how all the previous months’ nude employees got past that rule, but apparently, Marc is not a rule breaker. Melanie takes things into her own hands by showing up in Marc’s office, wearing a lab coat and little else except for a smile.
When either or both of them look likely to lose their job, it’s up to the administration to ensure two excellent employees are not forced to leave.
Mr. Mayhem is ‘Blaisé-ing’ hot, and look for the first four months as well. Looking forward to June!
