The secondary characters give us a glimpse of the characters within the MacKenzie series and if Cade is any indication I can't wait to catch up o the previous book of the series.

Finally Cade has his own book! We first got to meet Cade in “Cooper”, and since that first glimpse I was waiting impatiently for him to have his own story.
And what a story he has! ...

Review:
Some people face loss by retreating to lick their wounds, while others actively seek revenge as it fuels the flame of revenge and retribution that burns bright and helps stop them from facing their loss and dealing with it. Whatever method they use, their loss is something that is hard to recover from and keenly felt.
I have read all of the MacKenzie books by Liliana Hart and I absolutely loved this one. The others were great reads as well, but in my opinion way too short. They have hot, sexy guys who go all out to rescue damsel in distress and find love at the same time, but they were still too short nonetheless!
Cade: A MacKenzie Novel is longer, thank goodness, and the story line more detailed and the characters and their interaction hotter and sexier and as a result they are much better drawn and the reader can really understand their motivations and what drives them. My one complaint was that I didn’t have a cover to whet the appetite—so I used my imagination, and with the help of Ms. Hart developed one very attractive picture of Cade!
Cade is one special hunk, all of the Mackenzie’s are and I would dearly love to see books that feature the rest of Cade’s brothers, Shane and Declan. I have a feeling there will also be a book featuring the sister Darcy as well if the epilogue in Cade was anything to go by. The Mackenzie’s and their cousins have special skill sets; the cousins from the previous books are also built like gods and are all alphas in their own right and talented both in the bedroom and with guns and other weapons! The same can be said of the brothers and Cade.
Cade is the ultimate alpha who proceeds to stomp into Bayleigh Hart’s life and just take over and she sort of lets him because he is such a hunk and she is so attracted to him. The action between the sheets and elsewhere is smoking hot and the fireworks go off regularly, lucky Bayleigh!
I loved both characters. Bayleigh has a mouth on her and she has sparkle and serious attitude—I probably wouldn’t have the guts to walk out in my PJ’s and turn off the engine of the neighbor’s car, but she does it and gets away with it. It is from that point forward, that Cade is a drowning man, no matter how hard he tries to fight it and boy does he fight it. He doesn’t want to drag Bayleigh into the mess that nearly got him killed, but he cannot keep his hands off her and so by association she is also a target. The Del Fuego cartel that killed his first real love and nearly killed him hasn’t stopped and they are out for revenge and will go through anyone and do anything to get to him. They have already ruthlessly killed a number of young women after drugging them with Rabbit, a new and extremely dangerous designer drug, and torturing them. Cade has to protect Bayleigh. You also feel for Cade and what he went through as a result of his job and the Del Fuego cartel, but even Cade begins to realize there is a point where it has to end and he is ready for it to end.
Bayleigh is fighting his protection because she is falling for him and he continues to guard his heart against her and the things she makes him feel. I love it when the big strong guys get felled in one single swoop by the so called weaker sex, but there is nothing about Bayleigh that is weaker. She can give as good as she gets and yes, past relationships may have dented her self- esteem, but she is talented and beautiful and Cade sees all of that. He makes her feel and he knows instinctively what she needs.
Can he go further and recognize Bayleigh is as vital to him as the air he breathes? Can Bayleigh survive the attempts by the cartel to get to her and Cade? Can they both be what the other needs?
As mentioned, I loved this book and the characters. I want more and cannot wait. Do yourself a favor and read Cade. You definitely won’t regret it! Get the rest of the MacKenzie brothers’ books, too. Cade is a stand alone, but reading about the sexy cousins is a great way to build up to Cade: A MacKenzie Novel! Now I just have to wait for Ms. Hart to write faster and come up with stories for the rest of the siblings!
