Lacey Owens has returned home to her father’s ranch after ending a four year long relationship. A relationship where her boyfriend thought that what she looked like on the outside was more important than what was on the inside. So she’s back home for some rejuvenation and has given up men! Little did she know just how quickly her resolve would crumble. One look at her father’s foreman and she begins to tingle.
Chase Saunders is foreman of Carl Owens’ (Lacey’s father) ranch. Unknown to Lacey, he’s also part owner. He helped to bail her father out of some trouble four years ago by investing in the ranch. He’s got his eye on Lacey, and doesn’t intend to take no as an answer. When trouble comes to town in the form of a revengeful former employee, Chase will do everything within his power to keep Lacey safe.
The Cowboy Way is a fantastic story. I couldn’t put it down. It sucks you in and won’t let you go until you’ve read the last word. I like the way that you know this is a fictional story, but at the same time you know that this story could actually happen. I’m not usually into the Western type of books, but Ms. Richards makes you want to go out, buy a horse, and learn to be a cowgirl so you can hook you a yummy cowboy! She incorporates some wonderful mind-blowing love scenes. There’s lovin’ in the pool, the barn, the lake, the laundry room, I don’t think there’s a surface that didn’t see some action! Ms. Richards even throws in a nice twist at the end that I never saw coming. If you are looking for a good book to curl up with tonight that has a little bit of mystery/suspense, a lot of steamy attraction, and a happily-ever-after ending, then The Cowboy Way is definitely the book for you!
